This is the fountain inside the lobby of the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. I was there recently for a company conference. This was the most photographically interesting thing I saw the week I was there, so I tried a few times to get a shot of it. The first few times failed miserably - people were standing or kept walking in front of me. And I think I would've looked pretty funny kneeling in front of the thing with my elbows resting on the side trying to steady my camera. I got my chance on the very last night while everyone was at the final night party. It was actually pretty lame, so I left. Plus I didn't feel like being social and wasn't in a good mood. Photography is one of those things that helps to calm me. It's soothing. It helps me think. It did just that. So most people were at the party and the lobby was really empty, so no one was there to get in my shots or think me weird. (Tho they prob already do. haha.)

I always like taking pictures of fountains at night, at least when I have someting to rest my camera on. Longer exposures makes moving water come out looking cool.

i actually agree with you - they're not dolphins, but according to the hotel, that's the symbol they've chosen. check 'em out here.

the swans are much more realistic.
