Traitor Trev?
This is my buddy Trev and I 4 years ago when we were 4th years at UCLA. We decided to shave our heads and paint them for the big UCLA vs. USC game that year. We both knew it wasn't going to be much of a game. USC ended up thumping UCLA pretty bad that year and were both really disappointed. My point is that we were both pretty hardcore UCLA fans. We were "True Blue" through and through.
Advance ahead 4 years and I see this pic floating around on the internet:
What am I to think? Traitor? Not only is he wearing a USC shirt, but he's posing in front of Tommy Trojan doing the "Fight On" thingie ma jigie. Geez, man, what happened to your heritage? All Bruin fans the world over should be appalled.
Now in all fairness to Trev, there's a back store to this picture that I'll share. I don't know the details, but essentially it breaks down to him losing a bet to his girlfriend, who happens to have graduated from USC. So he didn't really have a choice. It's not like I'm any "better" - I'm marrying someone who graduated from USC. And I'll admit to sometimes rooting for them (never when they're playing UCLA, of course!).
Trev, today is your birthday, and I hope you have a great day. We've had some good times together. You just have to come visit Chicago now...
