Tuesday, October 28, 2003 :::

it has been a very long time since ive really blogged.

where am i at right now? well, in a great place, I'd say. my life has gone through a whole helluva lot of changes in the past 6 months, all good changes id say. back at the end of last school year i wasn't happy (I went home for spring break and didn't really want to come back - something that has never happened before). i wasn't really sure why, hard to pin down exactly. my living situation? lonliness? not driven to do anything worthwhile? but now i feel different, better, amazing.

lemme go through the changes:
found a new living situation
went back to RYLA (see 6/25/2003)
met bella {:o)
traveled to Ghana (see 8/24/2003)
joined UCLA Rotaract

living situation. my new roommates are great. (not to say my old ones weren't - we just were different types of people).

rotary (RYLA, Ghana, Rotaract) - so my last two years of high school i was extremely active in my school's interact club (community service), and it was the reason i went to ryla... i never really had that in college. the first two years i was ok without it, while my third year i realized that i should've branched out into different areas. i joined HKN (EE honor society) and became a member of the board. didn't have quite what i wanted. the club's purpose (putting on events for our members) didn't seem quite like something i wanted to devote loads of time too. it was just kind of "eh." the board wasn't all that tight knit. but yea, went to ghana and realized what i really want to do with the rest of my life - making a real difference in the world. lofty goal, i kno, but i think that it's something that can happen with rotary (which includes/included interact, ryla and rotaract).

it's something you just have to experience...
